Venue

The venue of the conference will be beautiful Hunguest Hotel Sun Resort****. The park around the hotel is four hundred meters long, and opens directly to the seaside promenade of the stunning Adriatic cost in the town of Herceg Novi. Apart from the professional and well-equipped lounge and conference rooms, with its own wellness center, beach, a heated garden pool, it will offer all its charm to the participants of MAT-TRIAD 2013.

This four stars hotel is just a minute’s walk from the heart of the historic downtown of Herceg Novi, a little cost town that lies among thick vegetation and palm trees at the most western corner of Montenegro, at the very entrance of Europe's southernmost fjord, and offers a unique natural environment that awakens the joys of Mediterranean ambiance.

Town of Herceg Novi was founded in 1382 in the heart of the Mediterranean, facing one of the loveliest bays in the world, just below the dominating mountains of Orjen with traces of pre-historical cultures, in 1382. Throughout its history the changing rulers and civilizations each left their own culture, tradition and habits, inviting nowadays' visitors to discover them.

Over 200 days a year the sun shines over its attractive squares, stairs, gardens, making it a city with the mildest average temperature in the Adriatic, a city with a Mediterranean climate, dry warm summers, beautifull falls, and mild winters. In its vegetation you can find more than 250 different exotic plants brought from all continents making Herceg Novi a unique botanical garden.

All participants will be accommodated at Hunguest Hotel Sun Resort****, in single or double rooms, according to the information provided through the on-line registration process. A five-night stay, with full board, starting from September 15th will be covered by the conference fee.

There are two international airports near the town of Herceg Novi: Tivat (Montenegro) and Dubrovnik (Croatia). Both offer throughout the day several regular flights to Belgrade and European destinations. During the season, there are also organized charter flights to many European cities. Transfer from and to both airports will be covered by the conference fee.

Visa

Please, remember, that Montenegro does not belong to the Schengen area. Thus, you may need a visa for visiting Montenegro. If you need an invitation letter, please contact us at travel_mattriad@dmi.uns.ac.rs.
